Tips & Tricks: What to Pack for a Weekend Getaway

With July 4th just around the corner, I know lots of you are going to have a fun weekend getaway to start the holiday off right. Whether you're going away this weekend or next, there are always a few essentials you need to have with you that some people tend to forget. The shampoo, conditioner, and tooth brush are obvious necessities, but a few things that may not cross your mind in the heat of packing are:

1. Oscar Blandi Invisible Dry Shampoo. Vacation isn't a reason to skip the shower, but if you don't have time to wash your hair you can body shower then use dry shampoo to cleanse and volumize your hair. I like this particular one because if you have dark hair like me, it doesn't leave a white film of powder over your hair.
2. Schick Quattro for Woman Disposable Scented Razors with Skintimate Signature Raspberry Rain and Skintimate Signature Raspberry Rain Shave Gel. Keep your legs  silky smooth all weekend long with my favorite razors and shave gel. 3. Benefit Cheek and Lip Stain. Save time getting ready by using the same product for your cheeks and lips. Benefit has a red tint, pink shade, and just came out with a coral stain

beauty bit: in the mood polish review

Remember when you were a little kid and were obsessed with anything "mood" related? Mood rings, mood friendship necklaces... even mood temporary tattoos! Were you guys as in love with these as I was? You can imagine my excitement when I opened a little purple package to find 3 mood color changing nail polishes! I immediately put the hot pink "Ditsy" color on my nails, and then ran outside to see if they changed colors in the heat of the summer afternoon. Let's just say... these colors are as cool as they sound. Twelve year-old me would have adored these.
Naughty is a hot orange that turns into a cool canary yellow. Ditsy is a bright fuchsia that turns into a pretty bubblegum pink. Guilty is a mermaid purple that turns into a vivid blue.

All three are gorgeous and perfect for the summer. They retail for $8 and you can check them out here. I don't have swatch pictures, but this video shows how cool this polish is way more than still pictures could!

Talk about red hot! Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, aka that super hot chick from Transformers 3, stepped out to the flick’s premiere last night in a long, sparkly, tight, and super sexy red dress. And we couldn’t help but be reminded of a very similar sparkly, tight, super sexy red dress that Katy Perry wore on stage a few months ago. So this might be the toughest call of all tough calls ever since both Rosie and Katy are really, really, ridiculously good looking, but who do YOU think wore the red dress best?

Fun Trends: Flirty Skirts

Step into summer and seize the heat with a fun flirty skirt! Tube skirts and other fitted styles might be your usual skirt of choice, but swingy short styles are a fresh and easy way to punch up your wardrobe for warmer temps. These skirts have an A-line hem and ruffle out a little around the bottom—they kinda remind me of a shorter version of a fifties skirt. And they look great on almost everyone! Plus, it’s been a really hot trend this season too. Lots of designers have been including full and frilly skirts into their spring/summer collections. I think it’s safe to say this silhouette will stick around well into winter.

This style of skirt is also really flattering and works well for a lot of different body types. Tuck in your top to accentuate (or create) a waist. Or, wear a loose-fitting stripped tunic untucked over the skirt to play with proportions. Since the hemline on these skirts is fuller, they will have a slimming effect on your legs.

I love to wear these skirts with my top tucked in and a great pair of heels. You can dress it up with a blazer or a statement necklace or keep it casual with a loose tank and a jean jacket. But that’s not all… there are so many ways to wear this style!

These People Got a Whiff of Justin Bieber (Perfume)…And They Liked It!

By now you’ve heard tons about Justin Bieber‘s new fragrance, “Someday,” like that it was inspired by “different girls and stuff” and that it caused the Biebs to get trampled at Macy’s in NYC. But we’ve got a question…what does the perfume actuallysmell like?! An editor from MTV’s Buzzworthy blog put “Someday” to the ultimate blind sniff test on the streets of Times Square and, surprisingly, the results were overwhelmingly positive. Old men, young girls and all the peeps in between totally loved it!

Hello everybody(: So last week, I went to DSW and Payless to find some cute shoes under $100.00. At Payless, I didn't find shoes but I did find purses under $20.00!!! Their cute too<3 At DSW they have a wardrobe section too so I got 3 outfits including, shirt, pants, purse and jewelry, (some have more) For each whole outfit under $45.00! Then I went to DSW part and found a whole bunch of shoes that are cute (: So I will be posting the video soon after i'm done editing it which should be soon<3

OK, we all knew denim was a trend and all, but we never would’ve seen this coming. Justin Bieber and Ashley Tisdale rockin’ the jean trend in the very. Same. Way. The Biebs ditched the hoodie for once and rocked a denim vest to the BET Awards, whereas Ash rocked hers with a vintage tee and a mini. Cute. But who rocked the denim vest best?

If there’s one person we just can NOT stop talking about… it’s Selena Gomez. Let’s get real here. The songs off her newest album“When the Sun Goes Down” are some of our faves on our summer playlist, plus we are almost too anxious for Monte Carlo. But after a killer performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last week, what’s another Selena item we can’t stop talking about? Her dress! And not just because it’s, like, really pretty, but because we seriously cannot believe how much it’s worth…

It was 10 THOUSAND dollars! You may say that’s a bit extreme, but the hand-beaded fringe silk Anthony Franco gown flowed so well during Sel’s performance and absolutely glowed in the spotlight. I say it’s a winner despite the monstrous price tag!

Healthy Habits: Easy At-Home Exercises

Staying in shape and feeling healthy is a two-part deal: half exercise and half diet. But it’s not always that easy to get your buns to the gym. Today, I am going to share a few of my favorite at-home exercises. I try to do these every day I don’t go to the gym or when I have the extra time.  

Most of these moves can be done in the comfort of your own home. Excerpt maybe the lunges, which is the one exercise I absolutely swear by (especially for bikini season)! Since our apartment doesn't have a long hallway, I have no problem looking like a freak lunging up and down my apartment complexes’ hallway! LOL. It’s quite a sight to be seen.

Anyway, all of the moves below are super easy and will help keep your body toned and feeling good if you work them into your daily (or every other day) routine!

Here are my 5 favorite at-home exercises…

1. Yoga Crunches
   a.    What You Need: yoga ball
   b.    Target Area: abs

My Hair Styling today:)

Hello Beauties(: Its me again! Well today is gorgeous out. I had to go to work, which is at Dairy Queen so I had to wear my uniform. But when I got home and took a shower I decided to go hang at the pool with friends. 


My Hair(:
I took a shower first and washed it with Paul Mitchel's shampoo and conditioner. After I let it air dry for like 30 minutes. I use a Y2 comb. I add detangler to the ends of my hair, I use the Suave kids detangler(: I part on the left so the hair goes to the right. So I part my hair. After I did that, I added Herbal Essences Orange Canned Volumizing Moose. I added that to my ends of my hair. (REMINDER, I HAVE EXTENSIONS SO OUTCOMES MAY BE VARY) After adding to the ends I flipped my hair so it hung down, and added more of it to that. I then added John Frieda curling holder moose to my hair also the same was I did with the other moose. After that I added my Big Sexy Hair Hairspray. Its just the regular so no special type, it usually last me for 1-2 months. I added that to my roots and the ends, just a little not too much!! I then use my Conair Infeniti hair dryer to dry it. I dry it half way, The roots and ends are still a little wet. I then add Chi Silk Infusion to the ends of my hair. I usually add like a nickle sized amount and put it on. I then finish drying it. I then brush it out again and make sure its still parted. I then style it, today I curled it. I used my Conair Infeniti Curler with no clamp. You do have to be careful not to burn yourself with it. When I curl it i split it up into 3 sections to curl it. I go to my ears and split it from there, that's one section. The next I split up is at my temples. That's 2 and the rest is done. I split the first section up so only small amounts of hair are there. I then get a little section and wrap it around the curler from top to bottem. I hold it there for about 6 seconds and drop it into my hand. After doing that side of the section i spray some of my Big Sexy Hair Hairspray on to it, not much. I then use my hand to pump it a little. I then finish the rest of my hair doing the same thing. The finished look is suppose to look like a version of Taylor Swifts hair curly. After that your done, the estimated time to do all my hair is about 1 hour but its worth it(:

I dont have any money to buy one right now, so I'm hoping to get one after I get my pay check. Anyways I will not be posting youtube videos. I was gonna make one to explain this but decided not to. Im going to be favoriting JuicyStar07 and her sisters page's videos. Also some other really cool fashion video's. I love Elle and Blair Fowler! Their amazing girls who love fashion, makeup and life. They are pretty famous and are very known through Marshalls. Ive been watching their videos for a long time it seems and they all have amazing meanings. We already told you about a month ago that uber-talented Hailee Steinfeld is the new face of Miu Miu. And fortch for us, one of her Fall 2011 ads is already here! Really, this girl’s only 14 years old? Are you kidding? Guess it does make sense — she rocked the red carpets at the Critics’ Choice Awards, SAG Awards, Golden Globes, the Oscars… must we go on?

My Latest Mall Trip... What did I find???

Hello beauty's(: Today, I went to the mall and had an amazing time. I brought $100.00 with me to shop at all my favorite stores. My first stop was at JcPenny's. I looked around there store and ended up buying 4 shirts. The first one I bought was on sale for $8.00! It is really cute its blue and at the top has a few carry down ruffles that lead to a v-neck. I also bought a cami, that has not straps for $5.00 to go underneath it. It is lime green and really adds a blast of color to the outfit. I also ended up getting a cute plaid tank that is really cute. It has a whole bunch of colors in it and only cost $13.00. I bought another tank which is a light blue for $6.00 to go underneath that. My total price there was $32.00.  My next stop was H&M(: I saw they had a HUGE sale on my online email updates and had to check it out! I ended up buying only 1 thing. It was a cute blue and white polka-dot dress. It is see through so i have to wear a tank top under it. It was $7.00. Its very cute for a forth or July celebration! Just pair it up with some shorts and red flip flops and your ready to go! My new total is $39.00. My next stop was Aeropostle. I went there and their having a HUGE sale also. They had coupons spreaded through out the store for 10% off your purchase. I ended up buying 5 things. I bought 2 tank tops for $15.00 one white and one blue. I also bout a pair of shorts for $10.00. To finish it off, I bought some jewelry for $8.00. Their 2 necklaces that are blue and white:). My new total is... $68.70! My amount of things bought is 10 things! My next stop was Forever 21! I spent the rest of my money there buying 4 things. I got a red dress for $15.00 there. I also got some black and silver sandals for $7.00. I ended up getting a tank top for $5.00 more dollars. It is blue and white striped. I ended my purchase getting a make up set. It cost $4.00. I had a coupon for $5.00 off. My ending mall trip total was.... $94.70! I ended my trip by going to Starbucks. I got a large Carmel Frapachino and a banana nut loaf for $6.00. My total was $0.70 cents over but i had some change in my pocket to pay for it. I didn't do that bad. I got a total of 14 things for under $100.00! See you can shop cheap:)

Daily Wardrobe Styling

Hello:) Today it is very nice out! Today I went on a pick nick with my friends. I wore an amazing cute outfit that kept me cool in the heat. I wore a pair of light denim shorts. They aren't to short, or to long, their just right! They co!st $16.99 at Kohls and they are by MUDD. I wore a cute blue ruffled tank top also from Kohls. It is buy Candies:) It cost a little more at $23.95 but its so cute! I wore a pair of brown flip flops from Old Navy that were only $2.00!!!! Yes $2.00!! I paired it buy a purse from Dots that cost $5.00 on clearance from many years ago! So my outfit total came to... $47.94 !!! A cute outfit under $50!<3


If you want to make this look cheaper go to your closet! Find a cute tank top and shorts and wear! For pick nick's I usually dress light(:

First Vogue, now this?! Emma Watson hascompletely ditched her Hermione Granger-eqsue style in her newest shoot for Mariano Vivanco. We just CAN’T get over how chic she looks — it’s riddic!
